What happens once I send the email?
A person reads it, not an automatic filter. If what you tell us fits something, we write to you to talk; if it does not fit right now, we say so, which is more use than leaving you waiting for a reply that is never coming.
The conversation starts with what you have done, not with the CV in date order. An installation you have built, a problem you have solved or something you have taught yourself is worth more than a list of courses. On technical profiles it is normal that at some point somebody from the trade asks you specific things, and in the field it is normal to see the work close up before deciding.
And it goes both ways: you ask too. What hours the job has, how the travelling is organised, what is expected of you in the first year. All of that has a specific answer in an interview, and that is where it has to be given.
