Do you take people on work placements or on dual vocational training?
It is one of the natural ways into a trade like this one, because here you learn by shadowing and that is exactly what a student on placement does. Whether there is room at any given moment depends on the work there is and on whether there is somebody who can give time to teaching, which is the part you cannot improvise.
So the useful answer is: write and ask, telling us which course you are on, what dates you are working with and what your college requires. If it cannot be done properly at that moment, we say so, because a placement where nobody has time to teach you is no use to anyone.
