The camera decides: what it sees, from where, and what happens in front of it. An airport and a shopping centre count people the same way; a chemical plant and a steelworks watch for leaks the same way. That is why the families are split by what they understand, not by where they are.
Start from what you want to know.
The useful question is not 'do you have a solution for hotels?'. It is 'can I know how many people are in the dining room right now?' or 'will it alert me if someone walks into the kitchen without a hat?'. The first is answered with a catalogue; the second, with a camera.
