Areas that need continuous cleaning and floors that get wet from condensation.
Rust Neural
Dirt, spills, material out of place and overflowing bins. Things that set off no alarm and end up in an accident report.
A spill in a plant corridor is seen by plenty of people. Almost nobody phones, because each of them assumes somebody already has, or that it will get cleaned up.
The same goes for an overflowing bin, a walkway with material stacked in it, or an emergency exit with boxes in front of it.
All of those things are on the list of accident causes, and none of them sets anything off. They get sorted out when the supervisor walks past, if he walks past.
You define the normal state of an area: floor clear, aisle free, bin below the rim. And the system alerts you when that stops being true.
It is not an intruder or motion alarm: it is a comparison with how it should look. That is why it works with things that do not move, which is where everything else fails.
And the alert carries the image, so whoever gets it knows whether to come down with a mop or with an absorbent kit.
Lo que Rust Neural entiende
Estado de máquinas e instalaciones.
Cada una es una grabación del sistema funcionando. Pasa el ratón por encima —o tabula hasta ella— para verla en movimiento.
In a food plant, a corridor between cold rooms collected condensation water in the afternoon. The cleaners came through at 22:00.
With the alert, the puddle was dried within fifteen minutes. In four months there was not one fall in that corridor; in the four months before, there had been two.
Areas that need continuous cleaning and floors that get wet from condensation.
Bunds, spills and material outside its zone.
Aisles with material stacked in them and blocked emergency exits.
Overflowing bins and common areas in a shopping centre or a station.
In a staff canteen or a food court, the uncleared table is the number one operational problem: it blocks a seat that is free but does not look it.
By counting tables with a tray on them and the time since the last diner got up, the alert reaches the floor staff instead of waiting for somebody to walk past.
And the accumulated figure tells you how many seats a day are lost that way, which usually comes as a surprise.
Cleaning reports get signed. Whether the area was left clean is another matter, and it is checked by looking.
Comparing the image before and after the cleaning round leaves a record with the time on it. In sectors where that is audited — food, healthcare, pharmaceutical — it is the difference between a signed sheet of paper and proof.
A spill outside a bund is an environmental incident with consequences that go beyond cleaning. Spotting it at the time changes the scale: what is picked up within ten minutes never reaches the drain.
And it leaves the record for the environmental management system, which is another thing that today gets documented by hand and from memory.

It does not tell what the liquid is. It sees there is something on the floor that was not there before; whether it is water, oil or product is said by whoever looks at the image.
And with very reflective floors or sharp changes of light it gives false alerts. That gets tuned in the first few days, and if it cannot be done, we say so.
Other things the same family understands, on the same cameras.
Not reliably. It sees there is something on the floor that was not there before and shows the image; what it is, is said by whoever looks, who also knows from where it is.
For areas where the difference is critical it can be tuned by colour and brightness, but that is not promised up front.
They are the hard case. A polished floor with a spotlight above it gives false alerts, and tuning it takes a few days. If it cannot be sorted, we say so: that is better than having a system people ignore.
Yes. The alert goes wherever you want: a screen, a mobile, a messaging channel or the job ticketing system already in use.
It gives you the record: how many incidents, where, and how long they took to resolve. That is what an audit asks for and what normally does not exist.

This is already recorded working. What is left is to see whether your camera allows it: where it is fitted, what angle it has and what can be seen from there. If it will not work, we will tell you.
