If tomorrow I want to change maintenance company, can I?
Yes, and it is a check to make before signing off the installation, not when you already want to leave. Four things are needed: the administrator passwords in your name, the licences in your name, up-to-date documentation of what is really there, and no parts of the system that only whoever built it can touch.
In fire there is also an administrative condition: the statutory maintenance has to be done by an authorised maintenance company, and moving from one to another is legitimate and does not invalidate the installation. What the outgoing company has to leave behind is the history of the reports, which belongs to the owner and not to them.
If any of those four things fails, you have not bought a system: you have contracted a dependency. It is the last of the five questions worth asking before signing, and you have to ask it of us too.
