How are visitors managed?
With a temporary credential that expires on its own, a host who answers for it and a return that gets logged. Never with the loan card that has been going round the reception desk for years.
The first thing to decide is whether the visitor is escorted or on their own, because that changes everything: someone on their own needs their own permissions, their own hours and a thought-out route. Then, what they are asked for on the way in and what is done with that data — a visitors' book is processing of personal data, so it needs its information notice, its retention period and its reason, and the open pad on the desk where everybody reads what the person before wrote does not comply.
And you have to solve the ugly case: the visitor who has not left by nine at night. If the system does not detect it and does not tell somebody, the visitor log is good for audits and no good for what really matters. Pre-invitation by email, with a code or a credential on the phone, cuts the queue at reception and avoids the scenario where somebody gets in because they were expected and is not recorded anywhere.

See it working.
A written answer is enough to decide whether it interests you. To know whether it works at your site you have to see it on a real scene, with the image as it is and, on top of it, what the system understands from it. That is on the IRIS Neural website, which is the group's product.
